Primary Function: All-purpose combat, specialized in close combat as well as high-velocity without the aid of chips. B-Mode Abuser and special ability overuser, which resulted in often needing maintenance from her sister unit.

Deployment: Around Pearl Harbor Descent Mission,  the beginning of the 14th Machine War

Defects: A defect that had always existed was an error during production, resulting in a very bright and noticeable pigmentation in her eyes. As a result, she never removes her visor out of shame. In the present, the unit is missing her right arm and right eye, due to water damage that had occurred over the course of a long period of time.These injuries will eventually be repaired through the use of her sister unit’s parts to compensate for that which she lost.

Test Function:  Poppy. (Hinageshi) Her frame’s build is remarkably lighter in comparison to other units, due to focusing on speed, and allows her to activate large bursts of acceleration. However, as light-weight material was used: A20 suffers damage easily, and her body is not entirely able to handle the effects of high-velocity combat, and her strikes are not as hard-hitting as the other Attackers. It is strongly advised that the unit only utilize this ability in short bursts rather than an extended period of time.

Maximum period of time without suffering injury: 45 seconds.

Status: Once MIA. Assumed to have been killed, was actually disabled by a powerful EMP blast that’s effects did not fade until the earthquake that revealed the aliens’ location.

Personality: A serious model to sharply contrast her more care-free sister unit, No. 19. A unit who favors dual-wielding and speed-based combat, No. 20 took her duties as a YoRHa unit with pride. She truly believed in their mission, and longed to show humanity the beauty that earth had become in their absence, once they had eradicated machines from the planet. Despite her cold exterior, she possesses a fiery nature, a passionate loyalty towards YoRHa and its mission, and a deep sense of camaraderie towards her fellow androids.

She actually has a very short temper, despite the composure she maintains.

Background:

During the attack on the YoRHa units during their descent to Pearl Harbor, A20’s flight unit was damaged and spelled out certain death. However, on account of the intervention by 19D, both were able to survive the fall, and instead acted as support from a distance. Both instead assisted another sect of the Resistance Camp, fighting off machines who drew far too close, and scouted/escorted Resistance members. Upon sensing a strange signal far beneath the earth, A20 investigated on her own, asking that 19D remain behind as a precaution.

In the end, the unit drew far too close to the ship buried and hidden deep below, the Aliens unleashed an EMP blast that put A20 out of commission for many years, until the quake that was caused by the Engel Goliath class that completely terraformed the area. It was during the events that lead to 2B and 9S meeting Adam and Eve that the Attacker finally awoke, only to find that decades had passed since she had last been active, and that those she knew and held dear were long dead.
